Josh Vitullo is a founding partner of SHEEHAN VITULLO LLP. Mr. Vitullo’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, litigation avoidance strategy, and business advice. Additionally, Mr. Vitullo specializes in securities litigation, broker-dealer disputes, and issues surrounding securities enforcement and compliance. Mr. Vitullo represented international and local businesses of all sizes as well as trustees and other individuals. Mr. Vitullo has practiced in state and federal courts in Massachusetts, New York, California, Delaware, Florida, and Connecticut, as well as in arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association, Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services, and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. In addition, Mr. Vitullo routinely oversaw client matters, appearing before various state and federal regulators and law enforcement agencies. Mr. Vitullo's cases often raised new claims and garnered media attention. For example, in 2005 Mr. Vitullo has represented a real estate trust in litigation regarding the legality of shared-appreciation equity notes, a question of first impression in Massachusetts courts.

Prior to founding SHEEHAN VITULLO LLP with Christopher M. Sheehan, Mr. Vitullo had extensive experience both in public service and in the private sector. Mr. Vitullo was an attorney at the Massachusetts Attorney General's office and previously, was an associate at the international law firms Goodwin Procter LLP and Bingham McCutchen LLP. While at Bingham McCutchen LLP, Mr. Vitullo served as a Special Assistant District Attorney for Plymouth County, trying cases and arguing motions in the Brockton, Massachusetts District Court. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Vitullo served as a law clerk for Judge Ronna Beck of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

Mr. Vitullo received his bachelor's degree in politics cum laude and a certificate in the Legal Studies Program from Brandeis University in 1999 and his J.D. cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2002, where he was the Senior Articles Editor of the American Criminal Law Review. Mr. Vitullo is co-author of "Federal Criminal Conspiracy" (American Criminal Law Review, 2001).

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland (but an ardent Red Sox fan nonetheless), Mr. Vitullo lives in Brookline, Massachusetts with his wife and fellow attorney, Kristina Yee Vitullo.

Mr. Vitullo is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and the Federal District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
