Christopher M. Sheehan is a founding partner of SHEEHAN VITULLO LLP. Mr. Sheehan concentrates his practice on business and commercial litigation. He has represented clients in matters involving a wide range of legal issues, including employment law, data security issues, anti-trust and intellectual property. Mr. Sheehan has years of experience representing Fortune 500 companies as well as local small and medium-sized businesses in both state and federal court, both at the trial level and the appellate level. Additionally, Mr. Sheehan has represented individual plaintiffs and defendants in employment discrimination cases, white-collar criminal matters and in actions involving their role within companies.
Prior to establishing SHEEHAN VITULLO LLP with Josh Vitullo, Mr. Sheehan practiced at Gesmer Updegrove LLP where he served the high-tech community in litigation involving intellectual property, employment, and other related issues. Additionally, he contributed to the firm's data security and trademark registration and enforcement practice areas. During his years as a litigator in Boston, first with Bingham McCutchen LLP and later with Cooley Manion Jones LLP and Gesmer Updegrove LLP, Mr. Sheehan has contributed to cases involving novel legal issues and precedent setting appeals. He contributed to the successful appeal in the Third Circuit of a Robinson Patman Act antitrust decision and was a critical member of the trial team obtaining a winning verdict on behalf of a local biotech company in a libel case. Mr. Sheehan received his bachelor's degree in philosophy magna cum laude from St. Bonaventure University in 1999 and his J.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan in 2003, where he was the Campbell Moot Court champion and Associate Editor of the Michigan Journal of International Law. Also while at the University of Michigan Law School, Mr. Sheehan represented victims of domestic violence in obtaining protection orders, divorces and custody of minor children. An avid sailor, Mr. Sheehan serves on the budget and finance committee of Community Boating Inc. on the Charles River. Christopher lives in Boston with his wife and children.
